Review: Bosch 10-Inch Worksite Table Saw

Contents
Worksite table saws typically come in two design options. You either receive a full table saw and stand solution in one-piece… or you don’t receive a stand at all. The Bosch 10-inch worksite table saw comes with Bosch's Gravity-Rise wheeled stand, which folds the saw up or down in one motion for transport and setup.
Its 15-amp motor spins the blade at 3,650 RPM with no load. The 4100-09 rips up to 25 inches to the right of the blade.
The 4100-09 has since been replaced by the 4100XC-10, which lists a 30-inch rip capacity and the same Gravity-Rise stand. The older model may only be available as remaining stock.
Here’s What We Liked About the Bosch Worksite Table Saw
When you use the Bosch worksite table saw, you know that each cut is going to be true.
- This tool gives you a reliable output thanks to its SquareLock Rip Fence, which decreases working piece waste and saves you time simultaneously. It locks at both ends, which helps it stay parallel to the blade.
- It features a 15-amp motor to support long-term operations while still being able to make the quick, short cuts that some woodworking projects demand.
- It has a 5/8-inch arbor and a bevel range of -2 to 47 degrees.
- It provides a Smart Guard System with a riving knife, anti-kickback pawls and a modular blade guard. Keep them installed for through cuts; OSHA notes that spreaders and anti-kickback fingers help prevent kickback when ripping.
- Maximum cutting depth is 3-1/8 inches at 90 degrees and 2-1/4 inches at 45 degrees.
And that’s why we featured this table saw in our roundup picks.
What Could Be Improved with the Bosch Worksite Table Saw?
The top is cast aluminum. Some owners find its surface slightly rough, which can make thin stock harder to slide smoothly. A coat of paste wax helps.
The included miter gauge fits loosely in its slot. We ran into a similar problem with the Craftsman Evolv table saw. If you plan on getting a table saw to primarily create crosscuts, you will likely want to upgrade this component.
It also throws a fair amount of sawdust, so hook up a shop vac and wear a dust mask. OSHA warns that airborne wood dust can cause respiratory problems.
Conclusion
If you want a portable site saw rather than a shop saw, this is a strong choice, especially if you can find it or its 4100XC-10 successor.
